This course examines the interaction of film and literary texts, and the qualities of each. Both texts and films will be studies within the course.
Students will examine the interaction of film and literary texts, and the qualities of each. We will look at how contemporary short stories and plays are adapted for film and consider what happens in adaptation with story structure and character. We will also consider the cultures out of which the texts come.
