This course is a Flex I 8 week course. This course is linked to BIOL 1407 CRN 30340 which is a continuation of this course taught at the same times with the same instructor during the Flex II semester. Students must enroll in both courses. This will allow a student to complete both Biology I and Biology II in one 16 week semester. This course will use free educational materials. The labs will be virtual with no scheduled meetings and the lecture for this course will be taught remotely. As an online synchronous lecture, students are required to meet online at the scheduled class days and times using Zoom platform. A computer, secure and reliable internet access, and a webcam are needed for this course. Remote Learning: Synchronous instruction, the same as a standard course only on Zoom at the originally scheduled class times. It offers the benefits of face-to-face instruction while maximizing social distancing efforts. Remote instruction will take place via ZOOM, Canvas, and additional remote-access tools.

Participation in class requires a computer, microphone and a webcam. Contact the instructor to address any issues that might prevent you from using your webcam. After enrolling in class, contact IT if you need to borrow equipment.

Remote Learning: Synchronous instruction, the same as a standard course only on Zoom at the originally scheduled class times. It offers the benefits of face-to-face instruction while maximizing social distancing efforts. Remote instruction will take place via ZOOM, Canvas, and additional remote-access tools.
