Asynchronous Instruction: This course is delivered online via Canvas without any scheduled class meeting day(s) or times. Additional online free tools may be used. Programs: Information Technology Network Administrator A.A.S., CISCO Network Professional A.A.S., and Information Technology Specialist (OSA). Course Description: This course covers the current personal computer hardware including assembly, upgrading, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. Assemble/setup and upgrade personal computer systems; diagnose and isolate faulty components; optimize system performance; and install/connect peripherals. Industry Certification Focus: Experience hands-on preparation for the CompTIA A+ (Core 1) Industry Certification exam. Technology Requirements: A student must have regular access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection (high speed is strongly recommended), a webcam/camera, and must be proficient with a computer and navigating the Internet. Smart Start: On the first day of class please log on to ACES and visit our Canvas Homepage for important details. Students are required to begin weekly assignments before the 3rd day of class.
