Asynchronous Instruction: This course is delivered online via Canvas without any scheduled class meeting day(s) or times. Additional online free tools may be used. Programs: Information Technology Network Administrator A.A.S., CISCO Network Professional A.A.S., and Information Technology Specialist (OSA). Course Description: This course covers the current personal computer hardware including assembly, upgrading, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. Assemble/setup and upgrade personal computer systems; diagnose and isolate faulty components; optimize system performance; and install/connect peripherals. Industry Certification Focus: Experience hands-on preparation for the CompTIA A+ (Core 1) Industry Certification exam. Technology Requirements: A student must have regular access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection (high speed is strongly recommended), a webcam/camera, and must be proficient with a computer and navigating the Internet.
