Consumer Nutrition for Non-Science Majors - 51873 - BIOL 1323 - 007
This is a 16 week blended course that contains face-to-face and online content, focusing on Consumer Nutrition. The face to face portion of the class meets once a week and will include hands-on activities that relate to food choices and nutrition. Students will also work independently on online assignments and prerecorded lectures. This course will also include a COIL component (Collaborative Online International Learning), working alongside partnership students from outside the U.S to learn about differences and similarities pertaining to nutrition. Upon completion, students collect digital badges for Global Learning (https://www.alamo.edu/about-us/offices-departments/departments/international-programs/global-learning-courses/). A computer, and a secure and reliable internet access is needed for this course. Online students are required to complete and attendance verification activity by the 3rd day of class.
