Introductory Chemistry I - 41395 - CHEM 1405 - 003
This is a FACE-TO-FACE course that meets on campus at the designated times. This course may require a webcam and computer that is compatible with the Lockdown Browser software.
This course does not require purchase of a textbook. A subscription to Knewton Alta software is required for the lecture and the lab manual will be provided electronically. You will acquire the Knewton Alta subscription when starting the first assignment in the class. There is no need to purchase the software before beginning the class.
This course is designed for Non-Science majors (like Nursing, Allied Health, and others). If your program requires a lab course, the student needs to enroll in CHEM -1105 (Intro CHEM I lab) as well. Completion of CHEM-1305 and CHEM-1105 is equivalent to CHEM-1405.

The course is an introduction to elementary inorganic chemistry and is suitable for non-science majors and some students pursuing degrees in nursing. A laboratory is included that emphasizes inorganic chemistry. This course fulfills the Life and Physical Sciences foundational component area of the core and addresses the following required objectives: Critical Thinking, Communication, Empirical Quantitative Skills, and Teamwork. This course will be taught as a HYBRID course with FACE-TO-FACE and REMOTE learning format. You will meet on campus twice per week on the designated day and time, and once per week via ZOOM This course will require a webcam and computer that are compatible with the Lockdown Browser software for testing.
This course does not require purchase of a textbook. A subscription to Knewton Alta software is required for the lecture and the lab manual will be provided electronically. You will acquire the Knewton Alta subscription when starting the first assignment in the class. There is no need to purchase the software before beginning the class.
